If I have a glass of black currant with a meal in the evening, and drink one third of it with my starter course, then half of the remainder with my main course, then one quarter of what is left with my pudding, how much of my original glass of blackcurrant do I have to savour with some cheese at the end of the meal?

Cabbage Conundrums

Mr Till is very proud of his garden, especialy his vegetable patch, and in particular his cabbages.

His cabbage patch is arranged as shown at this momment, but he would like to change their configuration so that he has twelve rows of five cabbages in each row.

Unfortunately he is no mathematician and needs your help to rearrange his cabbage patch. Can you help him?
